The Development Economics Network of Berlin (DENeB) hosts an annual workshop for PhD students studying international development topics. These workshops allow doctoral students to share their ongoing work and receive critical feedback.
The 10th PhD Workshop with the topic “Navigating the Nexus: Climate Change, Agriculture, and Health” took place on June 6th, 2025 at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in Potsdam.
We are particularly happy that Stefania Lovo (University of Reading) accepted our invitation to give a keynote on the connections between climate change and development, focusing on three main challenges: poverty, energy and institutions. The 9th PhD Workshop took place on April 30th, 2024 at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) in Hamburg.
