Junior Professorship in Development Economics

The Faculty of Economic Sciences at the Georg-August-University Göttingen invite applications for a

Junior Professorship in
Development Economics
(salary commensurate with W1
BBesO)

to begin as soon as possible. The position is offered for three years with the option to prolong for an additional three years.

Applicants will have an outstanding doctoral degree and an excellent publication record in development economics. The successful applicant will contribute to the research on development economics and collaborative on larger research programs of the faculty of university related to development economics. It is expected that the incumbent contributes adequately to teaching within the economics Bachelor and Master programme as well as to the doctoral course programme and the Göttingen Graduate School of Social Sciences at the University of Göttingen.

Preconditions for appointment are laid down in § 25 of the Higher Education Law of Lower Saxony of 26 February 2007 (Official Law Gazette of Lower Saxony, Nds. GVBl. 5/ 2007 p. 69). As a Public Law Foundation, the University of Göttingen holds the right of appointment. Further details will be explained on inquiry.
